My Story

My name is Lauren Carr and I am the owner of Watch Me Whip Bakery. If you're reading this right now, you probably have the same love for great tasting baked goods as I do.

 

I love all things floral, anything book-ish or Harry Potter related, I'm a certified yapper and am obsessed with shopping local.

 

I started Watch Me Whip as a side project - a hobby if you must. I was teaching special needs students at the time and was baking in the evenings for friends. After a while, it progressed into something much larger than I could have imagined. Now a full-time online bakery.

 

As a lover of art, I paint all your creations by hand, whether its little florals on macarons or recreating Van Gogh's starry nights out of buttercream, I craft all day. It is my favourite part of the job.

Watch Me Whip is based in Johannesburg and we do online bespoke orders and deliveries. We specialise in macarons, custom cakes and baked goods for any occasion be it a tea party or your wedding!

 

I could not have done this without the support of each and every client over the past few years and cannot wait to see what the next year will bring!
